Here it is folks -- the book cover for the fifth and final Willow the Wonderer book. We had put our shortlist to a vote. It was wonderful to receive so many responses from our community of readers. In the end, it was a near unanimous vote for little Willow hugging the Earth.
One of our readers' put it best when she said, "Willow hugging the Earth is a lovely image for children to grow up with."
We had a small cohort of readers who (like me) loved the option with the whales so Darren kindly update the cover art to incorporate them as well. They play an important role in the next book, both from a storytelling and symbolic perspective, so glad to have them there. We hope you like the final book cover we ended up with.
What is the fifth book about?
We won't give too much away except to say that it's little Willow's most epic adventure yet! Here's a little taste ...
Willow the Wonderer wakes up one day to find a menacing grey cloud hovering over his head. The cloud follows him around everywhere, dampening his spirit and sucking his joy. He tries everything to escape the cloud, but it won’t leave him alone! Willow finally decides to peek inside the cloud and find out what is going on. Little did Willow know, as he took that first step within, a lifelong adventure was about to begin …
'Inner Worlds' is the fifth book in the Willow the Wonderer series.
This surreal tale offers an insight into the workings of the mind and introduces readers, young and old, to a practical way of dealing with difficult memories and emotions.
Release date?
As has become our tradition, Inner Worlds, will be out on 11.11.25
