FAQ: My child is always ‘on the go’—how can I teach them to slow down and just be?

FAQ: "My child is always ‘on the go’—how can I teach them to slow down and just be?"

🍯 A story about the sweetness of slowing down.

This is exactly why we wrote 'Honey Time'. It’s a sweet lesson in mindfulness. When Willow is forced to slow down, he discovers that the "quiet joy of being" is actually more rewarding than the "chaos of doing." It’s an essential circuit-breaker for the busy modern child (and a great reminder for us adults, too!).

💡 Help your little one find their courage when things get tough.

In the Willow the Wonderer series, specifically in 'The Gift', we introduce the concept of Grit. Instead of telling children to "just try harder," we show them through Willow’s journey that challenges are like mist on a mountain—they are temporary. It teaches them the wisdom that 'all things come to pass,' helping them build the emotional strength to keep going - and not sweat the small stuff!

Thank you for helping build a wiser world

It's been hard to tear ourselves away from the news these past few days and attend to matters at hand ...

The shock, grief and anger still wells up from time to time, but so does the resolve to not let the actions of a few mad men overshadow an otherwise joyous time of the year for our country and collective culture.

We cannot do anything about the past but we can all work towards building a brighter future - One that is grounded in wisdom and our collective humanity. That is why we first started to work on Willow the Wonderer.

The stories we grow up with, really do matter. So thank you for gifting Willow the Wonderer books to your little ones this Christmas. We are looking forward to living in the future that our little readers will one day build :)

Happy reading,
