Christopher Nolan's Odyssey is all the rage right now ...

I don't know about the movie, as have not seen it yet, but there is another odyssey that I can highly recommend for little children to read: Willow the Wonderer – Space Odyssey!

It's a wonderful book about belonging and connection that I hope all children grow up reading as it does not only help them embrace their own unique quirks and personalities, but also those of others. There is afterall a few fundamental things that we all share that is more profound than any differences anyone can possibly find ...

It is not possible for artists who moved us with their works to die, for they will live on forever in our heart and minds.

I was a child when the first Jurassic Park came out–and have not stopped loving it since ... Another lasting influence was the mini-series Merlin–the little-me loved it to bits. Pure magic!

Know a community group that needs children's books?

Every now and again, when we open a new box of books, we find a few with teeny, tiny faults that we have to put aside. They are still in very good shape - in fact most folks won't be able to spot the imperfection! I am constantly on the lookout for places to donate these to e.g. community libraries, women's shelters, children's charities, children's hospitals, etc.

Thought I would check with our readers to see if anyone is involved with similar organisations and would like to get their hands on a few of these books?

If local to Sydney/Eastern Suburbs, you are welcome to pick these up from us (for free of course). If you live further afield and are happy to cover the cost of postage, we'll be more than happy to pack and mail it through.
