The New England Collective
The New England Collective supports local and regional makers to sell and launch their products in a retail environment. We stock a large range of giftware, food, eco and beauty products from local, regional, Australian and select international makers.
The New England collective opened in 2018, with a pop-up for Mother’s Day. Our first shop was in Hanna’s Arcade, Armidale. To start with, we had five partners, all with experience through local markets. Now there are 2 partners Debbie Cartledge and Tracy Wright.
We sold items for many other makers who rented space from us. The range continued to expand and we could see that eventually we were going to out-grow our shop in the arcade.

Title
TITLE IS NOT ABOUT WHAT’S NEW.
IT’S ABOUT WHAT’S GOOD.
TITLE is about the singular, the original, the definitive and the classic.
A place that sings like Nina Simone: passionate, assured, confident and intelligent.
TITLE is not a consumer guide. That comes from elsewhere.
The pop culture narrative is bound up in making hierarchies and sticking art into boxes.
TITLE is all about the art and artists that run free, the ones that don’t fit into boxes, and even more, the ones that last the distance and outlast time.

Dowry
Dowry‘s beliefs centre on slow design and sustainability. Initially, we sold our handcrafted wares at markets and popup shops. In 2014 we opened a small retail space with studio and workshop space attached.
The store is evolving all the time and incorporates a curated selection of products from local makers and brands. Every product we sell has been carefully selected based on its quality, craftsmanship, environmental impact and of course beauty!

Modern Times Bookshop
The store originally opened its doors as a remainder bookshop called ‘Dollar books’ in 1979. Owner John Butler renamed the business Modern Times Bookshop, after the Charlie Chaplin film and his love for movies.
As demand grew, John soon Intergrated New Books and Stationery into the mix. In the 1990’s Newtown was booming with bookshops so John looked for new products to sell expanding into Art supplies.

Dragonfly Kids
Hi I'm Kristy the owner and creator at Dragonfly Kids and mother of 4 wonderfully wild children. We are a small family owned business based in the Shoalhaven, on the NSW South Coast.
Dragonfly Kids started after the birth of my second daughter, I had an overwhelming desire to dress my two girls similar but not exactly the same. Due to the lack of clothing out there to fit this need I began making clothing for my girls and as my love for sewing grew I started selling at local markets.
Fast foward to May 2021, we took a big step and opened our own retail shop on the main street in Nowra. We have a beautiful baby and children's shop with a dedicated and growing sensory and educational room. We are a one stop kids shop, with the largest sensory range in the Shoalhaven.
